Having your home show-ready is very important. You never get a second chance to make a good first impression. Your home should be cleaned up, with things in their correct location. How will buyers see my home during social distancing? Do I need to focus on anything to make my home safer?

Some homes are being sold sight unseen and others are relying on virtual tours, however. we are hopeful to go back to showing homes in person this month. Sellers should leave all doors open and lights on, to minimize contact with doorknobs and switches. We will also supply gloves and shoe covers to our clients during showings.

How much money should I invest when preparing my home /or sale*

This depends on the current condition of the home. If it hasn’t been updated in 20-30 years, your investment may be more than a property that has recent upgrades. It’s important to remember that not all home improvements will yield a large return.

What rooms of my home should I focus most of my attention on when preparing my home for sale?

By far, kitchen and bathrooms are the areas where people are looking for updates in the home. Curb appeal is also an important factor in attracting buyers, so landscaping and lawn care should be kept up while the home is on the market.
